Waldorf Blofeld, microQ and Q Updates
Waldorf Blofeld, microQ and Q Editors gets update that makes life a bit easier again:
- Request multi selected items to librarian from a hardware bank of your choice.
- Write multi selected items from librarian to hardware bank of your choice.
To showcase these updates with their differences, I’ve attached Blofeld and Q Editor screenshots below.

On image above, I have chosen multiple programs with while holding down shift key. Then mouse right click to show the menu.

This is very useful if you have ever experienced “reorganizing memory” message appearing in microQ or Q while writing a whole bank to hardware. Now you can take segments of your choice from librarian and request or write them to and from hardware. Pretty neat huh?
On top of that, we have reworded the Bank Edit menu titles so that they make more sense. Now if you want to write entire bank to hardware, Bank Edit menu tells you which view (upper or lower) is written to hardware.

On image above, I have chosen item from LOWER [1] list which makes the list active (only to write on hardware). Then clicking Bank Edit menu and navigating to Write Patch Data submenu, I can see which Editor bank view [2] gets to be written in hardware.
To make this update even greater, there is a new Bank name view in Editor Control Display. Let me break this down a bit:
- When MULTIMODE MIXER tab is open in the Editor, the only bank name you will see is MULTI and in the case of Q, you will see M or X (card) if that is chosen.
- When PATCH LIBRARIAN tab is open in the Editor, Bank name varies based on your selected Librarian View mode:
- Multi with Blofeld and microQ = MULTI.
- Multi with Q: Multi = MULTI M or MULTI X (card).
- Single with Blofeld = SINGLE A…H.
- Single with microQ = SINGLE A, B or C.
- Single with Q = SINGLE A, B, C or X (card).
- Pattern with Q = PATTERN.
- When SEQUENCER tab is open in the Q Editor, PATTERN is shown in the Editor Control Display.
- Other tabs will always revert to SINGLE, no matter what mode is set in Patch Librarian Edit.
On video above, you can clearly see how the Editor Control Display reflects to different TABs and Librarian Edit mode affects the Control Display only in Patch Librarian.
Program Menu obviously reflects to Bank menu, so when display says MULTI, program popup menu will change Multi program etc.
With these updates in place, everything is crystal clear and no more mistakes will happen, when you want to change program or bank via the Control Display popup menus.
Change Log and Downloads
One final thing before we wrap up this build byte talks: read the change logs for what has changed – This will help you understand what we have done under the hood and if something seems broken, it actually might be just that some folders are re-located or some.

Before you ask, update is free to those who already has the license! Would be more than awesome if you can spread the word – Thanks for your patience!
